Exploration, play, and building confidence
Learn to Lift + Train at Golden Isles Sports Enhancement is designed for youth athletes who are new the the gym or need to improve technique and gain confidence in the weight room.
Our focus is on teaching proper lifting mechanics, enhancing mobility, and developing proper movement patterns to support athletic performance and overall fitness.

Some things to expect your athlete’s first program…
Fundamentals and technique building
Learning the correct form and technique for lifting patterns in pressing, pulling, and squatting motions, building a strong foundation for athletes to build upon as they age up.
Pre and post program testing metrics
We will take assessments and metrics on your athlete’s abilities on day 1 in a variety of movements including vertical jump, broad jump, sprint timing, and agility drills. We will complete an end of training assessment in these same metrics to see progress.
Small class sizes
Groups are important to allow the competitive juices to flow. However, we keep them small to allow ample coaching for each individual and account for plenty of work.
Progressive programming to grow with your athlete’s ability
Though the Learn to Lift + Train program is designed to be foundational, our coaches will scale and progress programming to your athlete’s skill. Though the routine will be similar, the exercises and intensity will be customized.

A typical session is 1 hour and 20 minutes long and includes a dynamic warm-up, activation drills, and a specific focus of the day. This will include acceleration, plyometrics, top speed, or a combination of them all. We hit strength work following our running/jumping drills and rotate between lower body focused work, and upper body focused work.

Athletes should bring a water bottle and appropriate athletic shoes for running, jumping and sprinting.

Results take time, but if you’re consistent, they will come. If you are a beginner, results will come fairly quickly; even in only 30 days, you may start to see a difference in your strength and overall fitness.

Bad technique builds bad habits that can lead to injury. This is not an ego lift gym. We will be doing drills that challenge the body and mind of the individual completing them, but not at the risk of injury. If form collapses, weight is reduced, plain and simple. We will use partners, spotters, safety arms, and our certified trainers to ensure everyone is safe throughout their training. Our trainers are also CPR-certified, and we have first aid and an AED on site.

For Personal Training, we have programming from 1-3 days per week. If you are new to weight lifting, we highly suggest 3 days per week. The youth programs are all set for 3 days per week for a block of weeks that progress in difficulty. This gives the athletes the highest probability of double-digit improvement in their core testing categories.
